Can you believe it? I'm an emotional adulteress. At least that's what the Style section in the Sunday Times told me. The new theory (coming from the US, of course) states that people having emotional relationships (read: friends) outside their own personal relationship (read: partner, lover, spouse, etc) will have troubles with their partner. One must focus all their attention on their partner. The man behind this theory has no female friends except his wife and only ever touches his wife and mother. No shaking of hands even. I find this very disturbing.
