Congratulations to Professor Sir Peter Mansfield and Professor Paul Lauterbur who share the Nobel Prize in Medicine this year for their work in magnetic resonance imaging. Without their work, I wouldn't have the project that I'm working on today!

Occasionally, this makes me wonder what I would have done with my life instead...friends have suggested a career in food but it's just not for me, I think. It's a lovely hobby (and necessity) but not a life goal. I probably would have continued down the communications/signal processing line... all rather boring and all that.
