Some of the sting from yesterday's chilli was removed with lots of salt rubbed into my hand. That was a tip given to me by my mother and uncle.

The papers have been buzzing with the latest in after death chic - the carbon can be removed from a body (even a pet's) and used to create a synthetic diamond. I saw a photo in the paper; there are no telltale signs that it was made from such macabre sources...ie. no drop of blood suspended in the middle.
